Consider the prevalence of diabetes in your patients and in the practice where you work. How does this compare to the prevalence of diabetes nationally? Do you have any age groups that have a higher-than-expected prevalence of diabetes than other age groups? Do you have any ethnic groups that have higher-than-expected prevalence of diabetes than other ethnic groups?
Note: The data in EPiC relating to “your patients” refers to patients for whom you have prescribed glucose lowering medicines over the previous 12 months (this is likely to include patients who see other GPs as well as you).
